An Update on Our Social Impact and the Work of the School Clothing Bank

At Kindness & Co, social impact has always been at the heart of everything we do. From the very beginning, our goal has been simple: to create beautiful products that do genuine good, right here in our communities.

Thanks to your continued support, that impact keeps growing and we wanted to take a moment to share what’s been happening recently, particularly with the South Ayrshire School Clothing Bank.

The Bigger Picture: Kindness in Action

Since launching in 2019, Kindness & Co has donated £136,687.00 to charities and community organisations across Ayrshire and beyond. Every candle purchased really does make a difference, and together we’ve been able to support a wide range of incredible causes, including:

What’s Been Happening at the School Clothing Bank

The past few months have been especially busy for the South Ayrshire School Clothing Bank, which I run alongside Kindness & Co, and none of this would be possible without your support.

Over November and December, we restocked eight hubs across South Ayrshire, with volunteers delivering new school uniforms directly to schools. We also provided additional items to a local primary school that urgently needed extra support.

Through referrals from schools, social work, and charities, we purchase exactly what each child needs, from jumpers and trousers to shoes and jackets, and deliver everything discreetly to school staff to pass on. It’s always anonymous, always respectful, and always centred on dignity. Every single penny donated goes directly towards clothing, with zero overheads.

Supporting Other Causes Through Candle Sales

Through Kindness & Co candle sales alone, we’ve also been able to support other amazing organisations by providing over 270 candles, helping to generate a potential £3,375 in donations for:

• Harbour Ayrshire

• Doing It For Daniel

• Ukrainian Community Group

• Beautiful Inside & Out

• Team Jak

• Ayrshire Hospice

It’s a brilliant example of how small choices, like choosing a candle with purpose, can add up to something much bigger.

Where Your Kindness Goes

When we say that Kindness & Co profits support the School Clothing Bank, we mean it quite literally. On December 17th, Kindness & Co donated £8,000.00 directly to the South Ayrshire School Clothing Bank.

That donation will help ensure local children are warm, well-equipped, and able to attend school with confidence, without worry, without stigma, and without standing out for the wrong reasons.
